What to Expect on the Tour:

Your journey begins with a warm welcome from the local community guides. After a brief orientation on river ecology, you will board a traditional non-motorized baroto (outrigger boat).

A local fisherman-guide will paddle you through the serene 1.4-kilometer-long river highway. Along the way, they will point out rare bird species and explain the vital role of the mangrove ecosystem. The tour peaks at the river mouth, where the emerald fresh water dramatically meets the clear blue open sea of the Tañon Strait.

How to Get to Aloguinsan:

Aloguinsan is located on the southwest coast of Cebu, roughly 60 kilometers from Cebu City.

1. By Public Bus: Head to the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City. Board a bus bound for Aloguinsan via Carcar City. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the Aloguinsan town center, then take a short tricycle ride to the Bojo River kiosk.

2. By Private Car/Van: Travel south via the Natalio Bacalso Avenue. Turn right at Carcar City toward Barili, then follow the scenic road signs leading up to Aloguinsan.

For basic walk-in boat rides, advanced booking is not strictly mandatory, but it is highly recommended. On busy weekends or holidays, boats can fill up quickly. 2. Can you swim in the Bojo River?
